Phoenix Media Lab is a small media and content technology operation. We produce our own content, such as images and short written descriptions, and we publish it on social media accounts that belong to Phoenix Media Lab.
To do that reliably, we build our own internal tools. The main one is Affiliate OS Publisher.
Affiliate OS Publisher
Affiliate OS Publisher is a private, internal content-publishing and scheduling application operated by Phoenix Media Lab. We use it to:
- manage the media and content that Phoenix Media Lab has selected for publication;
- connect Phoenix Media Lab's own social media accounts;
- choose where each item is published, such as a specific Pinterest board;
- schedule organic (unpaid) content;
- publish content that we have reviewed and approved;
- monitor whether each item was published successfully;
- keep attribution and tracking records for Phoenix Media Lab's own campaigns.
Affiliate OS Publisher is currently an internal business tool. It is not offered to the public, and it is not a software-as-a-service product. There is no public sign-up, and it is not used to manage anyone else's accounts.
Our Pinterest integration
Affiliate OS Publisher uses Pinterest's official API to create organic Pins on boards that belong to Phoenix Media Lab's own Pinterest business account. The account is connected through Pinterest's own OAuth authorization screen, so Affiliate OS Publisher never sees or stores a Pinterest password.
The integration covers creating and scheduling Pins and checking their status. It does not include advertising, and it does not access other Pinterest users' accounts.
